Foster + Partners
Associate, Communications Strategist
Award-winning, global studio for sustainable architecture and design.
As an Associate in the main London Studio of 1200+, I worked with architects and designers on concept, research and presentations for a major urban redevelopment in NYC and the new JP Morgan Global HQ, and four university and cultural competitions with Norman Foster, contributing expertise from my background and translating academic research to practice.
I also advanced a number of initiatives, including a roundtable on sustainable fit-out with the superb Industrial Design and Sustainability teams. With the main Comms team, I contributed to the re-launch of the Foster + Partners’ journal of research, and developed proposals for a book on The Art of Space and a new research group in the Human Sciences, the first of its kind in an architectural practice.
Research topics to which I contributed Include the future of work, neuroaesthetics and the experience economy, resilient design and the post-Covid workplace.
My experience with Foster + Partners has confirmed my belief in the potential of the applied humanities to address key questions on what it means to design for people and the thriving of communities and our planet.
